I was trained to be a turnaround leader--which means I have the lens of a change agent. I know how to see the good while also seeing the need. I understand the importance of clearly communicating a vision for needed change and innovation. I also understand how essential it is to "shrink the change" when it comes to shifting mindsets and practices.
Having led school transformation efforts, I know how to have courageous conversations that address needed changes and innovations. These courageous conversations must connect the heart AND the mind if we are going to successfully innovate.
As a member of the City Council, I will help our city recognize the value of the needed changes and innovations that will lead to smart growth for our community.
